The World’s Largest Fritter is in Taylors??

They say it’s not cool to be a Mama’s boy, but what about a Grandmama’s boy? I’d say in the case of Harvey Dawkins, it has proven to have some delicious results! If Lorene Dawkins were alive today, she would proudly take credit for introducing her grandson, Harvey, to the art of baking. Today, Harvey has made a business of the skills he learned from Grandma, and Gvegasnights has made it possible for you to sample his tasty treats for FREE! Read on to find out how.

In less than 2 months, the Taylors Bakery and Donut Shop has managed to draw a large and loyal customer base. Much of this is due to two of Harvey’s original creations–the Red Velvet Donut and The World’s Largest Fritter. The Red Velvet Donut costs $1.29 but taste like a million bucks! The World’s Largest Fritter is an amazing NINE INCHES in diameter and also contains your choice of almost any fruit filling, and trust me, they are FILLING! When I asked how he thought up these yummy desserts, Harvey very reverently answered, “God.” I have no doubt that Grandma Lorene is also looking down and adding that divine touch. I have to admit these creations do taste like Heaven!

Maybe donuts and fritters aren’t your thing, but don’t let that stop you from satisfying that sweet tooth. Cookies, brownies, cotton candy, candy apples, and funnel cake are more items on the menu. And don’t forget CAKES! Harvey admits he is a big fan of the show Cake Boss, and it is evident in his display of decorative cakes. Spring is coming up, which means weddings are coming up! Harvey can do your wedding cake, birthday cake, and even cater your event!

His talents don’t stop with baking. His shop also provides country cookin’ where you can get meat and vegetable plates–a favorite here in the south! Meat and 2 plates are $5.99, and Meat and 3 plates are $6.49. You get free refills on tea, soda, and Kool-Aid. Yes, we want you to drink the Kool-Aid!!

Starting February 15th, you can find the answer at Sushi Koji (formerly Sushi Hana)–home of the original “Charming Roll.”

This exclusive item invented by Koji himself consists of tuna smoked salmon, cream cheese, mango, kiwi fruit outside, dipped into special yogurt sauce.

Koji, originally from Japan, has been cooking since age 19 and brought his culinary skills to America in 1977. He started his first restaurant almost 20 years ago, and his experience has taught him what makes a great sushi restaurant! You’ll taste the evidence in all of Koji’s delectable creations including his signature dish Sukiyaki (for 2). This specialty dinner is kobe beef with vegetables, tofu and yum in a soy sauce-based broth!

You will not only be impressed with the food; the decor and ambiance are authentic and classy. Top it off with great drink selections and engaging conversation at the bar with Donna, the friendly and foxy bartender! Sushi Koji has it all!

A select group had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of Koji’s new Main Street location, and despite its post Valentine date, the attendance was impressive!
